Al Hayl Sewage Treatment Plant (STP)

  • Client: Fujairah Municipality
  • Location: Fujairah UAE
  • Project type: Sewage Treatment Plant
  • Contract type: Design, Creation and Operations of the STP

Project Information:

Al Hayl STP, commissioned in February 2015, stands as a testament to cutting-edge innovation in wastewater treatment. An advanced membrane bioreactor system was meticulously engineered to not only tackle domestic and industrial wastewater but also to yield treated sewer effluent (TSE) for crucial purposes like dust suppression and landscaping. The STP's tanker receiving facility fills a vital gap in areas without sewerage networks, while the dedicated filling station efficiently delivers valuable TSE to our esteemed customers.

Scope of Work:

MIMC spearheaded the design, development, and operations of the groundbreaking Al Hayl STP. Operating at a capacity of 1,200 m3/day, this facility embodies the pinnacle of advanced wastewater treatment techniques. Our contribution to this project extended beyond oversight; we furnished the clients with specialized Membrane Bioreactor Systems, focusing on optimizing processes and driving energy efficiency.

Our team, beyond project supervision, actively recommended strategies to capitalize on the reclaimed water's revenue potential, particularly for irrigation purposes. MIMC's pivotal role involved seamless coordination between the client and our partners, delegating authorities, meticulously outlining contractual terms, swiftly resolving disputes, and maintaining stringent schedule adherence to meet all project deadlines.

Project Features:

  • Plant capacity of 1,200 m3/day
  • Utilization of an advanced membrane bioreactor system
  • Production of treated sewer effluent (TSE)
  • Tanker receiving facility catering to areas devoid of sewerage networks
  • Tanker filling station for efficient distribution of valuable TSE to customers

This revised version aims to emphasize the innovation, efficiency, and critical functionalities of the Al Hayl STP while showcasing the proactive involvement and expertise of MIMC in delivering a pioneering solution in wastewater treatment.

End Result:

Optimized Resource Management for Environmental Sustainability

The Al Hayl STP, led by MIMC, champions environmental sustainability through cutting-edge wastewater treatment technology. With a capacity of 1,200 m3/day, it purifies domestic and industrial wastewater while producing high-quality treated sewer effluent (TSE). This TSE serves dual roles in dust suppression, landscaping, and customer distribution through a dedicated station.

The STP's tanker facility extends its reach to areas lacking sewerage networks, preventing environmental contamination. MIMC's proactive involvement also explores strategies for maximizing reclaimed water use, promoting sustainable practices and minimizing environmental impact. Overall, this project epitomizes optimized resource management for a greener, more sustainable future.
